The Journal of Sustainable Futures and Interdisciplinary Solutions (JSFIS) is committed to ensuring the integrity, transparency, and high quality of the research it publishes. This publication policy outlines the processes and standards that guide manuscript submission, review, acceptance, and publication.
- Open Access Policy
- JSFIS is an open-access journal, ensuring all published content is freely available to readers worldwide.
- Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), allowing unrestricted distribution, adaptation, and reuse with appropriate attribution to the original authors and the journal.
- Submission Policy
- Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
- Authors are required to adhere to the journal’s Author Guidelines and ensure ethical compliance in their research.
- All manuscripts are screened for scope, quality, and originality during the initial submission process.
- Peer Review Policy
- JSFIS follows a double-blind peer review process to ensure impartial and unbiased evaluation.
- Manuscripts are reviewed by at least two independent experts who provide recommendations on originality, significance, methodology, and relevance.
- Acceptance Policy
- Manuscripts are accepted based on:
- Positive recommendations from reviewers.
- Adherence to ethical guidelines.
- Relevance to the journal’s scope and focus areas.
- Accepted manuscripts may require minor or major revisions before final publication.
- Publication Frequency
- JSFIS is published quarterly, with four issues released annually.
- Plagiarism Policy
- All submissions are checked for plagiarism using reliable detection tools such as Turnitin or iThenticate.
- Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 15% will be flagged for revision or rejected outright.
- Proven cases of plagiarism may result in the rejection or retraction of the manuscript and notification to the authors’ institutions.
- Article Processing Charges (APC)
- To support open-access publishing, an Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied upon acceptance:
- For Authors from India: INR 2000
- For International Authors: USD 50
- Waivers or discounts may be granted to authors with financial constraints upon request.
- Retraction and Correction Policy
- Retraction: Articles found to violate ethical standards (e.g., plagiarism, falsified data) will be retracted, and a retraction notice will be issued.
- Corrections: Minor errors in published articles may be corrected via erratum or corrigendum.
- Copyright Policy
- Authors retain copyright of their work and grant JSFIS a license to publish under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY).
- Authors are free to share and reuse their work with proper acknowledgment of JSFIS as the original publisher.
- Archiving and Preservation Policy
- All published content is digitally preserved and archived in reputable repositories to ensure long-term accessibility.
- Appeals and Complaints
- Authors may appeal editorial decisions by submitting a formal request with justification.
- Complaints related to publication ethics or process are addressed transparently by the editorial board, with the final decision made by the Editor-in-Chief.
- Ethical Standards
- JSFIS adheres to the ethical guidelines outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
- Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to comply with these standards to ensure the credibility and integrity of the publication process.
